Innovative Three-Section Design

This chair is separated into three sections: rolling base (shower chair), bridge, and shower base. The rolling base can double as a bedside commode and rolls around the house like a wheelchair, allowing users to easily transfer and roll into the bathroom area and over the toilet. After toileting, the rolling base and shower base connect using the bridge, enabling the chair to slide over the curb and into the shower stall.

360-Degree Rotating Shower Base

Once inside the shower stall, the bridge disconnects, and the shower base can rotate 360 degrees, allowing the user to face the shower controls or any other direction. The SB1 features a unique secondary safety mechanism that prevents the chair from sliding off the track and causing injury.

Comprehensive Features for Safety and Comfort

The SB1 chair comes equipped with a standard front-opening cushion, footplate, flip-back, lockable and removable armrests, 5" lockable casters, a removable commode bucket with lid, chest belt, lap belt, and height adjustability. The ShowerBuddy (SB1) is a caregiver-assisted product; it is not intended for independent use. Note: The SB1 fits over a limited number of toilets.

How It Works

Showering:

1. Setup: Line up the unit with a step-in shower and move the seated user back in the chair along the bridge.
2. Stabilization: Safe, waterproof suction feet fix the chair to the shower floor.
3. Bridge Removal: The bridge can be removed, allowing caregiver access.
4. Rotation: The chair can rotate, offering different positions for comfort and assistance with cleaning.
5. Completion: After showering, connect the chair back onto the bridge for easy transfer out of the shower.
6. Multi-Function Use: The base can stay in the shower or be removed quickly for use by other family members.

Toileting:

1. Positioning: Adjust the height of the chair to suit the user and place it over the toilet.
2. Secure Positioning: Lock the caster wheels to secure the chair over the toilet.
3. Comfort and Hygiene: The chair includes a full overlay cushion accessory for comfort when not in use as a toilet chair and comes with a pan and lid for nighttime use as a commode.
